Hello and welcome to Skylark Live. I am an Interior Decorating Consultant, but it wasn’t always this way. After working for many years in media and entertainment with HBO, CBS, Time Warner, and The Harry Fox Agency, I launched my brand in 2005 and began working in voiceover, acting, and performing with my jazz band, Skylark. The journey continues.

I was raised on the creative and performing arts and as a child, I used to dance in our living room and put on shows for my family. I loved putting together costumes with boas, jewelry, and high-heels. My mother took me to see Pippin on Broadway when I was 15. When Ben Vereen stepped out from behind the curtain, I was smitten. I wanted to be a showgirl. I have the soul of an artist.

After graduating from Farmingdale State College, I moved to New York City where I began working for the renowned graphic design firm, Danne & Blackburn. In 1975, they were a young firm who won the bid to revamp the identity program for NASA. The Worm logo emerged, and the rest is history. This logo is recognized around the world and has a cult-like following. This experience taught me a solid work ethic and a profound regard for aesthetic and design.

I have always loved homes and interior decorating. I used to draw floor plans and would dream of building my own home. I enjoy collecting and staying current with design trends. I like to bring nature indoors with rustic elements that include stone, glass, wood, wicker, and wrought iron. Flowers and branches can also create a natural feel that add texture and dimension. Seashells are also great accessories that add an exotic flare. They are nature’s fine china.
